AI-Assisted Engineering Workflow
A process-level overview of how I use AI as a supporting tool within accountable engineering work.
This page presents a sanitized process overview. It does not disclose client, product, design, geometry, or other confidential technical information.
A sanitized, redacted version of the underlying engineering work sample is available on request for recruiting or technical evaluation, subject to confidentiality and intellectual-property restrictions.
Workflow sequence
- Start with ambiguous requirements and make assumptions and constraints explicit.
- Use engineering calculations to test feasibility, identify gaps, and cross-check decisions.
- Develop and review CAD in parallel with the evolving evidence and requirements.
- Record rejected concepts and corrections when new information changes the direction.
- Evaluate manufacturability, serviceability, and practical production constraints before release.
Engineering responsibility
- I define the problem, provide evidence, and set the engineering constraints.
- I evaluate outputs, challenge unsupported assumptions, and make the decisions.
- AI supports structured analysis and cross-checking; it is not the engineering authority.
- I retain responsibility for risk acceptance, design choices, and subsequent review and release work.
